B150

Behind the understated front panel of the B150 lies more muscle than its looks suggest: 2 x 130 watts into 8 ohms and 2 x 250 watts into 4 ohms give this roughly 12-kilogram integrated amplifier the reserves to keep even large loudspeakers firmly under control – a wolf in sheep's clothing, you might say. In a Revox/Studer chain especially, the freshly overhauled amplifier shows its full sonic potential.

The feature set is generous: an MM phono input, a headphone output and the IR remote system, through which the B150 is operated with the original Revox B208 system remote control supplied with it. Between 1988 and 1992, Revox charged around 1,900 to 2,100 DM for it new.

The overhaul by qualified audio technicians was extensive: complete disassembly, around 80 replaced components including new capacitors and electrolytics, resoldered joints, alignment to the manufacturer's service manual, cleaning inside and out, and a safety test to DIN VDE 0701/0702. The B150 comes from its first owner and a well-kept non-smoking household; the original manual is included and the electronics are covered by our 24-month warranty.
