B126

A swing arm instead of the usual sled: the B126's robust transport reads not only standard CDs but also CD-R, CD-RW and HDCD discs reliably and without error. Revox/Studer placed the CD player in the high-end class of its day; in 1992 it retailed for around 1,790 DM – serious money at the time.

The B126 slots seamlessly into an existing Revox system: via the IR remote system it can be operated with a system remote control such as the B208 (not included). A practical touch is the internal multi-voltage selector, which allows the unit to be configured for mains voltages from 110 to 240 volts.

Our example comes from its first owner and a well-kept non-smoking household and has been comprehensively overhauled by qualified audio technicians: a new original Revox display, complete disassembly and cleaning, around 25 replaced components and capacitors, inspected and resoldered solder joints, an adjusted laser unit, plus alignment work to the manufacturer's service manual and a safety test to DIN VDE 0701/0702. The original manual is included, and the electronics are covered by our 24-month warranty.
